Man Attempted “Blue Suicide” at Arizona Charlie’s Casino
The Arizona Charlie’s Hotel and Casino City was emptied by the security on Saturday, after a man with an explosive device tied on his waist threatened the security officers at the casino. The suspect was arrested within few hours of the incident. In the meantime, the whole Casino and all the nearby areas had to be evacuated for the safety of the people present there.
This Saturday morning, the suspect went to the security desk of the casino and showed the bomb device around his waist to the officials there. He told the officials to evacuate the place as soon as possible as the bomb was going to explode within few minutes. Soon, other security guards came to help.
The law enforcement authorities somehow managed to take out the suspect from the casino; however, he didn’t leave the entire hotel area. When the guards were engaged in evacuating the casino, the suspect was continuously trying to provoke the law enforcement officials for shooting him up.
Bomb Squad and SWAT official were also being called by the security in order to assist them in the process. According to the authorities, it was an attempt to commit blue suicide or “Death by Cop”.
After few hours of investigation the alleged explosive came out to be a fake one. As soon as the police came to know about the fact, the suspect was taken into custody and the casino resumed it normal operations. However, this incident has impacted many customers present there. This is surely a bad news for the casino center.
Arizona Charlie’s Casino has been in a financial turbulence since two years. In such a situation, when the revenues have declined to a significant level, this incident is definitely going to affect the coming future of the casino.
