Gordon Brown over casino plans
16 new casino are given to go ahead, then 6 months after Gordon Brown signalled a retreat from plans to bring Las vegas style gambling into UK, Britain.
The Prime Minister was actually praised by charities and church group last year summer for the announcing a surprise review of 2005 gambling act. which alow to have 8 small, and 8 large gambling center in Manchester.
According to a letter which was sent to Scottish and Welse Gov, the 16 smaller casino are to be proceed. The news was greeted with outrage in Manchester, where council leaders had discuss how they going to use these large casino in the east of the city.
As part of Mr Brown’s view, the 16 local authorities that had won casino licences were asked if they wanted to go ahead with the plans. and they respond that they were interested as a result you might see some brand new casino on North East Somerset, Dumfries and Galloway, Scarborough, Wolverhampton, Swansea, Luton, Torbay and East Lindsey.
