Casino Player Robbed and Killed
A 55-year-old victim was robbed and killed, this Friday, at Santa Ana Street, California. As reported by Santa Ana Police authorities, victim was on his way, after winning a huge amount of money at Hawaiian Gardens Casino, when he was attacked by a gang.
Anthony Bertagna, Santa Ana Police Corporal, stated, “The victim was returning from a nearby Casino, where he won huge sum of money”.
According to the detective, victim’s red Honda car was being chased by the suspect right from the Casino.
The victim was accompanied by one of his female friend on his way. However, the woman present at the spot somehow managed to run. At around 4:30 A.M in the morning, the Santa Ana police department received an emergency call by some witnesses saying that they heard a woman’s scream.
Reaching the spot, police found several $20 bills scattered everywhere over the road. Bertagna said that the victim had a fracas with the suspects. Soon after the victim broke down, the suspect got into his car and ran over the victim.
Investigators reported that the death was due to severe injury at the upper portion of the body, especially on the head. It has been reported by the authorities that while the victim was on his way in his red colored Honda car, he was stopped by the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect came down his car and attacked the victim.
According to the statements by one of the eye witnesses, the suspect came out from small gray car. The witnesses also mentioned that one of the suspects was a man. However, no clear description was revealed.
The victim’s identification including his name is still unknown. “Further investigations will be carried on regarding this issue”, said the Santa Ana Police force. The police department is also looking for more witnesses of the event.
