Seminole Casino Offering $1 Million If Debris From Satellite Hits Them

Only Steve Bonner – the general manager for Seminole Casino Coconut Creek in Broward County, Florida – could turn something simple into a $1 million giveaway prize. The casino will be giving one of their lucky gamblers (through a random drawing of course) $1 million if any of the debris from the U.S. spy satellite that was shot down will hit his casino.

“The Navy hit the satellite in just one shot, so we’ll give our patrons one shot at winning a big pile of money,” stated Mr. Bonner. The Pentagon did release a statement that explained how some of the larger pieces that were the size of a football did not burn up in the Earth’s atmosphere when they re-entered. The Pentagon went on to say that these pieces “should re-enter within 40 days.”

Steve Bonner is making the pieces easy for them to spot his casino by painting a 100 foot bull’s eye on the roof of his large casino. The casino has two restaurants and an ultra lounge and is only one of the seven that is owned by the Seminole tribes of Florida. Last year they bought the Hard Rock International for almost one billion dollars.

“It’s a crazy idea, probably more than one in a million chance but who knows, anything’s possible,” said Mercedes Isabel - a local of Coconut Creek and a weekly patron of the Seminole Casino. “If the drawing for a million dollars takes place, “I’ll be here,” she said.

So the residents of Coconut Creek and the gamblers at the Seminole Casino will hold their breath and wait patiently to see if at least one of those stray pieces actually makes it. The odds that this will happen are a quite a few million to one – but the only thing that players have to do to win is to be there.
